Anti Social Camp is the largest songwriting camp in the world with the singular mission to revitalize the New York music scene in a global weeklong festival that’s completely free for creators.

Anti Social Camp hosts over 200 recording sessions at 30 studios across New York City, in addition to 10 public events over 6 days.

Monday AM

Anti Social Camp opens Monday morning at The New School for the event’s only conference day to welcome our artists, partners and guests: 

  • Celebrity Speakers — In 2024, Miranda Lambert and Justin Tranter spoke eloquently to inspire the hundreds of professional songwriters and artists in attendance at Monday Opening Ceremony. Then Jacob Collier accepted the inaugural Anti Social ICON Award. And in an historic moment, Collier led Anti Social Camp artists in his Audience Choir, displaying the power of music to transcend. Previous speakers also include Nile Rodgers, Moby, Kimbra, Walk The Moon, Andy Grammer, Rostam, X Ambassadors, JP Saxe and Linda Perry.

  • Live Podcast RecordingIn 2024, there was a live recording of the hit storytelling series, The Moth StorySLAM. In 2023, there were 2 live episodes recorded of the hit Vulture podcast Switched On Pop

  • Anti Social Women Running Music — A powerful conversation with some of the most important women in the industry each year discussing the many inequities that female-identifying creators face, whether it’s power imbalance or the fight for better pay. Previous panelists include Kimbra, Susan Rogers, Kara DioGuardi and many more. Supporting organizations include She Is The Music, We Are Moving The Needle, Sound Thinking NYC, Building Beats, Beats By Girlz, Gender Amplified, She Knows Tech, Amplify Her Voice and The Women’s International Music Network.

Industry Showcase
Monday PM

On Monday evening, the camp made its way to Baby’s All Right for the Spotify Industry Showcase presented by Ilegal Mezcal. In 2024, hundreds of fans lined up at capacity for the artists who headlined the stage including 41, RIELL, Thutmose, Madalen Duke, Bathe, Jillian Rossi, Ant Saunders, Haiden Henderson, Kidd Kenn, Hayes Warner, TT The Artist, Norma Jean Martine, Zoe Ko, Beane, Joe West, M’lynn, Margo, Middle Part, Salt Cathedral, and more.

The Artist Lounge also opens its doors on Tuesday, providing a hub for creators to generate content, seek mentorship from industry leaders and network with fellow hitmakers.

Writers Round
Tuesday PM

Artists gathered at the historic BerkleeNYC Power Station Studio A on Tuesday evening for the Anti Social Writers Round Presented by YouTube Songwriters. In the Nashville style, 5 artists at a time shared the stage and told the stories behind the songs, for an intimate, acoustic night. 2024 artists included hitmakers David Archuleta, Gnash, Rachel Grae, Jared Benjamin, Morgxn and many more.

Kitchen Sync Minicamp
Wednesday AM

On Wednesday, while recording sessions continue across the city, artists gather at the Brooklyn College Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema for the Kitchen Sync Minicamp. Morning panel discussions feature music supervisors and agency creatives. Then artists then spent the afternoon in sessions writing music specifically to sync briefs for use in film, television, and advertising.

Anti Social Gala
Wednesday PM

Anti Social Camp artists cleaned up for The Recording Academy Anti Social Gala presented by Ilegal Mezcal at Brooklyn Brewery. It was the NYC music industry party of the year, complete with red carpet and celebrity DJs presented by Twitch including DJ Kharisma, DJ Center, DJ Susan, Kamino and Emski.

An Evening With Republic Records
Thursday PM

After the last day of recording sessions and a toast to celebrate, the camp held An Evening With Republic Records (Taylor Swift’s record label), featuring surprise performances by Republic stars Joe West and Norma Jean Martine.

Playback Party
Friday AM

The Anti Social Playback Party put a bow on an action-packed week. It was the world premiere of 115 songs at National Sawdust presented by TIDAL and Grayson Music. Some lucky artists left with giveaway prizes courtesy of Audio-Technica, Duvel Beer, Cloud Microphones, D’Angelico Guitars, SE, Rupert Neve Designs, Jammaround, Kilohearts, Kaotica, 343 Labs, Presonus and more.

Education Summit
Saturday AM

The Anti Social Education Summit was presented by the SESAC Adopt-A-School Initiative Saturday morning at the LIU Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment. Hundreds of students from NYC high schools, undergraduate and graduate programs had the opportunity to learn from music industry leaders through a series of panels. Students also received feedback on their songs from hit artists including Lawrence, Thutmose, AJ Smith, Jillian Shea and representatives from 300 Elektra Entertainment, Sony Music Publishing, Republic Records and more.

In the afternoon, selected students entered the recording studios for the Anti Social Student Minicamp presented by DistroKid. Advocacy organizations like Sound Thinking NYC and Building Beats helped contribute to an unforgettable day for young emerging songwriters.
