about
anti social camp
Anti Social Camp is the biggest songwriting camp in the world. Our mission is to celebrate songwriters, impact the culture with new hit singles and reinvigorate the New York City music scene. That’s why we partner with the NYC Mayor’s Office, Spotify, The Recording Academy, Youtube Music, Amazon Music, BMI, SESAC and Dolby Atmos among dozens of advocacy organizations like She Is The Music and We Are Moving The Needle. Our camp is an inclusive space, promoting women, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ creators and communities
anti social producers club
Anti Social Camp came into existence through extraordinary circumstances. As music producers trying to survive the pandemic in 2020, we found comfort in catching up with our peers in New York. We decided then to create a collective called Anti Social Producers Club. Zooming with a handful of friends turned into a collective of 75 music producers with billions of streams and dozens of Grammys. It was the first collective of its kind, uniting New Yorkers across neighborhoods and musical styles, and it quickly impressed itself onto the larger recording industry.
year one: remote
Anti Social Producers Club united much of the NYC music scene, so it became clear that a songwriting camp could be a natural next step. Still in the pandemic, we began in June 2021 with mostly remote sessions and programming to an ecstatic response. This small taste of success gave us a clue at what we could build when the world opened up.
year two: welcome to new york
Expanding Anti Social Camp was an opportunity to rethink the concept of a songwriting camp, which is often considered an exclusive affair only for major label artists in castles across Europe. We decided that Anti Social Camp would be a front-facing festival with 100+ recording sessions in 6 days along with a packed calendar of concerts, gatherings and panels. It’s the SXSW for songwriting, inviting hundreds of creators to venues and studios across New York City in a global event that’s completely free for creators.
year three: arrival
Since Anti Social Camp’s inception 3 years ago, featured artists and speakers have included Nile Rodgers, Walk The Moon, Grace Vanderwaal, Rostam of Vampire Weekend, Kimbra, JP Saxe, Moby, Kota The Friend, Linda Perry, Andy Grammer and Rob Thomas. We’ve been featured in The New Yorker, Forbes, Billboard, Variety and the New York Magazine podcast Switched On Pop. And we partner with Spotify, The Recording Academy, Youtube Music, Amazon Music, and the Mayor of NYC among dozens of advocacy organizations like She Is The Music.
year four: let’s goo
The Fourth Annual Anti Social Camp, June 10-15, 2024, is sure to be the biggest yet. And the first ever Anti Social Camp compilation album will be released early next year. Stay tuned for updates on the album and the application, coming soon…
